Children’s achievements will be compared against the expected levels of understanding and competencies relevant to that ‘point in time’. With that in mind, children will be assessed against criteria taught to date in relation to their year group as:
Working Below (WB) – at least a year behind, e.g. a Y3 child working within Y2 expectations
Working Towards (WT) – this means they do not consistently / independently meet year group expectations, but can with support
Expected Standard (ES) – the child meets expectations within the year group they are in
Greater Depth (GD) – the child understands objectives well and is able to apply their knowledge in a range of situations or contexts
Children's progress is tracked continuously and is reviewed 4 times a year at Pupil Progress Meeting's (PPM's). Every child has an ambitious target set each year, which is reviewed during Pupil Progress Meetings.
