Please ensure that your child comes in appropriate clothing on these days including suitable footwear e.g. trainers.
Change of reading books
Your child will bring home a reading folder with a reading record inside. On a Monday and a Thursday they can change both their library book and their banded reading book.
Homework
We expect children to read at home at least three times per week.

Enrichment
Children in Y2 enjoy weekly outdoor learning sessions (on a Tuesday) as well as daily access to our outdoor continuous provision, this learning develops our core values including resilience and resourcefulness.
In Y2, children will participate in the following trips/visits:
ð The History Van visit, linked to our learning around The Great Fire of London
ð A trip to the Mosque and to the Church, linked to our RE learning
ð Several local walks, including our winter walk and geographical studies of the local area
ð Summer celebration at the Rec
ð A trip to Shirebrook Valley Nature Reserve, linked to our Science learning about animals and habitats
ð Sportshall Athletics at the EIS, all children will participate in this competitive Sport enrichment opportunity
ð A trip to Old Hay Brook, as part of an outdoor learning project, we will sail our rafts down the brook
Parent Hub
On a weekly basis you will receive a Parent Hub notification which provides you with a snap shot of learning from our week in Y2!
